Welcome family and friends!

Just a brief overview about our blog. We are a group of 7 students and 2 faculty of Gannon University on an alternative break service trip to El Salvador. Our trip begins on February 25, 2012 at 2:30am where we will board a bus in Erie traveling to Cleveland, OH. From Cleveland to Houston, TX. From Houston, to San Salvador, El Salvador. We will be staying in Ilabasco, El Salvador.

Upon arrival, we will be hiking up a small mountain to La Puerta del Diablo. On Sunday we will be attending mass, a market, and visiting an orphanage. Gene Palumbo will also be speaking to our group. Monday we will be traveling to villages. Tuesday we will be traveling to villages and watching the movie Romero at night. Wednesday we will be traveling to villages, working a half day, and then going to the University of Central America where the Jesuits were killed in 1989 during the Civil War. On Thursday we will be traveling to villages and watching Folkloric Dancers in the evening. On Friday we will be traveling to villages, working a half day, visiting Romero's home and chapel. Friday night we will be entertained by Sierra Madre musicians. Saturday we will be returning home. 

We ask that you keep us in your thoughts and prayers during our trip.
